Wednesday Afternoon Taste of Bundaberg Tour

Dave at Rosengal Queensland bean farm

Enjoy an afternoon on the north side of Bundaberg visiting farms, an acclaimed local butcher and a chocolate shop. Commencing at 12.30pm at Alexandra Park Zoo and finishing at 5pm.

The diversity of farms on the north side of the Burnett River include macadamias, sweet potatoes, sugar cane, beans, tomatoes, Tahitian Limes, strawberries, pineapples, mangoes, lettuces and herbs, among other crops, are all grown in this area as well as beautiful roses and gerberas.

The Tour

Suzie will introduce you to prominent local butcher Rick Elliot and his team at Bundy Chop Shop. They will show off their skills and charm! You will soon see why they are highly regarded by local restaurants, cafés and residents for their beautifully smoked small goods. Farm visits include meeting passionate producers at Bundy Limes, Meadowvale Mushrooms, Rosengal for beans, Prichard Farms for sweet potatoes and a relaxing afternoon tea on a farm prepared by Indulge Cafe. A north side tour would not be complete without a visit to Bundaberg Roses, for a tour inside the shade houses with Francis followed by a quick stop at Cha Cha Chocolate for all things sweet!
